1. Who controls your information

The data controller is SOURCER LLC, which operates mywayinamerica.com. Contact: info@mywayinamerica.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, this may include:

• Account information: your email address and the login credentials handled by our authentication provider.
• Journey and onboarding answers: the answers you give about your situation, goals and plans.
• Goals, progress and capability information: your dream, roadmap position, completed steps and capability scores.
• Information you type into Alex: what you write in a conversation is sent to our AI provider so an answer can be generated. Conversation history and prepared documents (such as a résumé built from facts you supply) are stored in your own browser on your device, not in our database.
• Job and resource searches: your search wording is sent to the relevant search provider so results can be returned. Which listings you prepared for, and jobs you mark as applied, are stored in your own browser.
• Subscription information: your membership status, billing period and the payment provider's customer and subscription identifiers. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Technical and security information: standard request information such as IP address, browser and device details, handled by our hosting provider for delivery and security.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to:

• create and maintain your account
• build and keep your personalized roadmap, progress and guidance
• answer your questions through Alex and find resources you ask for
• provide, manage and support your subscription
• keep the service secure and prevent abuse and fraud
• meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

4. Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing the service and your subscription); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the service); legal obligations (tax and accounting); and your consent where consent is required.

5. Service providers we actually use

The following providers process information on our behalf today:

• Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure) — account authentication, database storage of your journey and subscription records, and hosting.
• Lovable AI gateway (Google Gemini model) — generating Alex's answers from the message and journey context sent with your request.
• Perplexity (via the Lovable connector gateway) — current web search when you ask for real resources.
• JSearch via RapidAPI — current job listings when you ask for a job search.
• Paddle — our Merchant of Record: Paddle processes payments, subscriptions, invoicing, tax compliance and refunds, and handles related customer service. Paddle's own privacy notice applies to payment data it collects.
• Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. Analytics

We do not currently have an analytics service connected in the application. Aggregate visit counts provided by our hosting platform may be visible to us. If we add a product analytics provider, we will update this notice first.

7. International processing

Our providers are located in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries. Their own privacy notices describe where and how they process information.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your account, journey and subscription records for as long as your account exists and for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Information stored in your browser (conversation history, prepared documents, progress kept on your device) stays there until you clear your browser storage.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including per-user database access rules so that a person can only read their own records, and keeping provider keys on the server so they are never exposed to your browser. No online service can promise perfect security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to portability, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact info@mywayinamerica.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

You can also delete information stored in your browser at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

11. Cookies and local storage

We use storage that is necessary for the service to work: an authentication session so you stay signed in, your language choice, and your journey, conversation and prepared documents kept on your device. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

12. Age

This service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes and contact
